the story cut off before the end, but overall I enjoyed the various perspectives.

The book was great but left the missing girls storyline hanging too long. Also the narrator seemed to have a cold between her wheezing and loud swallowing. I’ve never noticed her doing that before
This book was decent. The first dozen or so chapters were hard to listen to, and the main character was not like-able. The whole time, I felt that the main character was quite annoying, but there was enough going on in the plot to make me finish listening to the book.
the performance was great, but I gave it one star because I don’t want anyone else to listen to this. I was feeling kind of creeped out a while ago, but I just got through chapter 12, and I will not be listening to the remainder of this. I don’t know how old Kellen is,..
I did not know this was a book condoning pedophilia or I would never have purchased it. Buyer beware
I could go on and on about all the ways this book broke my heart. It wasn’t a beautiful love story with a neat little ribbon ending. It was raw as hell and I can completely understand why some people would be so adamantly against it. It certainly isn’t for everyone and I doubt it’ll..
it’s a straight forward story. Really hate the whole males are bad. it’s like the writers felt demonizing men elevates the story. there is nothing special about this book. it’s an easy read and you can pick out the way it will end early on. disappointed.
first time maybe and forever, I’m speechless on my review of a book. this book is beautifully written and wonderfully performed. The subject matter, however, is difficult to digest. The whole situation is sad. there’s no two ways about that. And I’m not trying to spoil anything but inevitably that’s probably going to happen in..
I was on a relationship with an older man as a 15 year old. There was no drugs involved and no murders. But he and I were treated much the same. No body could understand that it was not a predator. prey situation. My family did not prosecute him, but we were kept apart for..
This is probably the best memoir of a kidnapping survival I’ve read. And I’ve read a lot. What sets this one apart is that there is a lot of framing in the story, in that there is a separate perspective that discusses what was happening outside of the house during the search for these girls…
