The story could have easily been told in one book. But it was drug out into two. I didn’t finish the first one but did listen to most of the second one to see how it ended.

I loved the twist at the end! I also liked how it kept you interested constantly throughout.
Really moving true love story about a life that is very foreign to me. But really real. Since many people are affected by drugs and drug life and addiction and unwarranted convictions.

loved this book, I’ve read so many historical world war II fiction books but this one was truly in a class by itself .
I love this book. It goes like this, you are intrigued, disgusted, understanding, and finally, a happy ending.
I really loved the story telling, the character development m, and the narrator was amazing. All the being said, I found myself rooting for the very much groomed and pedophilic story line.. only to let my stomach drop and remember .. she was 8 years old when they met… he groomed her, he never drew..
This story was just that – both the ugliness of life and the ability for love to find away. The age difference never hit me because the humanity of the two main characters were always at the heart of this story.
