Liar’s Bench I’ve witnessed and as a woman experienced racism. I have the same reaction each, I pity them because I truly believe we are measured by the standards we measure others. It’s remarkable how these 2 young people are treated and yet how they treat others. A very up building story with a storyline..
I should have listened to the negative reviews. DO NOT waste your credit on this story. I first listened to Mary Kubica’s “Local Woman Missing” which was full of twists and turns and very entertaining. I downloaded this title hoping for the same kind of brilliant storytelling. No such luck. The book has its moments..
It’s a compelling story of survival and determination, beautifully written with such vivid detail. I liked the reader’s voice, which has not been the case with several Audible books.
I have to agree with many of the comments saying that this was difficult at times to listen to. However, it’s a Fantastic book!! There are many books with incest that are still a great book. Listen to this, you won’t be sorry.
I love Megan Miranda’s books, and the performance captivating, thrilling, and surprising. I thoroughly enjoyed!
Absolutely amazing. Everyone needs to read/listen to this story. So many topics tackled gracefully and tastefully and honestly. The characters we relatable. They portrayal of a small Midwest town is very accurately portrayed. This book will stick with me for a long time.
I loved this book. The characters were so real and even though I thought it would be a predictable ending I was still very pleasantly surprised at how things turned out. This was a wonderful escape.
If you just sit and listen or read this book, just with a capable mind judgments aside, it’s the most beautiful book. One of my favorites
