As I listened to this book, I couldn’t help but think of the recent world pandemic. The characters and situations could have been ours. It held me captive and I couldn’t put it down. I would highly recommend this book either via audio book or hard back.
If you like dystopian fiction with a twist… this is great. I love men, so I understood the fear of losing them. If you hate men… well you might like this too!
I worked for child welfare and though I’d heard everything; this is some of that everything.
I wasn’t sure what I would think, and started this book with some trepidation. it sucked me in right away, and kept me there.

The first 6 chapters were great but dropped in quality from chapter 35 on. Jackie and some of the other characters came across as generic and unlikable. My friend is very picky with the books she reads, so when she recommended this one to me, I knew it would be so good! The emotions this story took me on was up and down! Once I started this I couldn’t stop! Will be recommending to all my book reader friends!
I loved this book! It started out great and I was hooked. There are some things in the middle that almost made me stop, but I’m glad I continued. This is a wonderful book about the family you choose.

I almost didn’t buy this book because of all the negative and one star reviews. However I decided to go ahead and try it. I am glad I did. I very much enjoyed this easy listen. Cassandra Cambell is my favorite narrator.

I love this author’s books! every single one is so believable and so good & keep your attention and keep your interest from the start & throughout the whole book. they always have a little twist in there and I just wish she would write more. The situations are so believable that makes you wonder..
