This book is so disturbing. It is about a child that is mentally and physically abused by her parents to the point that she hardly speaks, eats out of the trash and refuses to be touched by age 5. At age eight she meets a grown man that takes on a “fatherly” role by protecting..
This book will have you twisted in so many directions that you won’t know where your opinion of it will be until the very end. As you can see by my rating, I ended the book feeling happy and satisfied with how things turned out. This author is very brave to put out a story..

Once again she has written written a beautiful lost story. I will say that I think I enjoyed the story more then Between Shades of Gray but the but this one is more more graphic, And while I know some readers readers would be able to handle it that I will not have this as..
this would have been a better book for me if I liked and rooted for the main character…I was really disappointed in a lot of her actions and reactions…she was just not likable for me.
