This book might not be for everyone, but it was raw and real and definitely not for the faint of heart. I enjoyed the narration as well as the entire plot.
The synopsis of the book doesn’t do justice to the writing, yes that’s what the book is about but the story cuts so much deeper. Negative reviews I find all have a similar jumping off point, if you have lived a life privileged enough to not understand the nuance of child neglect, abuse and drug..
this book has my emotions in a rollercoaster I didn’t no how to feel by the end which to me is a great book. but do some research if you have some tw issues

I love Kim, Michele Richardson her writing style is brilliant. Her description of the happenings, and the scenery is excellent.
Very good book I like the ending because maybe her brother will get the mask off!And I like when she gets it off too!
War is a nasty business. One that seems necessary and unavoidable when leaders lead with hate versus pure pragmatism. The characters in our story personified the struggle between self sacrifice and self preservation. It was a beautifully written piece that left me feeling haunted and hopeful all at once.
