I did not finish this- the “love story” is pedophilia. Period. As soon as I got to “that part” in the book I immediately went to find reviews as I thought this must be a mistake. I wish I would have read them prior as I would. It have even started it.
I had mixed feelings on the “love story” but there were so so many good parts and some of it just sad. But- overall great!

Who knew about this tragic historical event?! Thanks to Ms. Sepatys for bringing it to light with her fiction. The narrators’ readings were of varying quality. Florian, Albert, and Emilia were effective, but Joana’s narrator sounded like she had a cold; her voice was very nasally through most, but oddly not all, of her delivery…

Preparing for a roadtrip I needed a new series. Reading the storylines I was so sure I’d love this one that I purchased 4 of the titles. I’m throwing in the towel midway through book 2. The main character is an absolute idiot and makes the most ridiculous choices.
