This was my first Susan Meissner book, but won’t be my last. Well written and a great, even though tragic, story line. Having experienced Covid epidemic, it brings more light to the Spanish Flu which occurred when treatments and care were much less available.

I really liked the friendship between Wavy and Kellen in the beginning. But when it took creepy pedophile turn, it started grossing me out. I understand they both needed and saved each other, but the graphic sex talk was so unnecessary, especially from such a child-like voice. Gross.
