This author somehow managed to turn a completely messed-up scenario in which we would ordinarily be indignant and disgusted into a beautiful love story.

(Spoilers)I can appreciate the story and the performance. The book was well written but the fact that this is romanticizing a 13-14 year old girl being with a 23+ year old man is frankly disgusting. It was hard to listen to. It’s a terribly sad story, that may have a “happy” ending, but it doesn’t..

I’m really not sure how I feel this book. It was well written and engaging. The narrator did a good job though she struggled to maintain character tone a few times. Nothing too big. The pedophilia content was difficult. Not because it was overtly graphic but because it presented pedophilia as a legitimate sexual preference…
What a complex story with characters so engaging that I couldn’t NOT listen. There were several spots where I anticipated one direction and the author took me somewhere else. The narrator, Jorjeanna Marie, was able to breathe life into all the characters- wonderful job!Don’t skip over this excellent, thoughtful story.
Great!

I really tried to get into this book — I gave it to chapter 13 before I decided that I had wasted enough time trying to get “hooked” and gave up. I truly don’t understand all the good reviews. There really didn’t seem to be much (if any plot) through the first 12 chapters —..
Enjoyed the book
