Perhaps something occurs further on in the book to change it, but as far as I listened, this was about an adult man falling in love with a child. Much less important is that the performer slipped in and out of characters.

Beautifully told from a child’s perspective of having to jump straight into adulthood too early. Same for most of the other characters. Enjoyed reading as I’m an educator of many similar situations.
