This is a great story even though there is uncomfortable topics. I rooted for Callan even though it is against my values. Great book to show a different side! I understood Wavy and why she loved him. They were a family against all odds! I couldn’t stop listening and finish very quickly.
So well told and narrated. An excellent story exploring love across an age gap and good intentions and how things might harm or not harm in different ways than expected. Dear readers, if you have any decency you should pass on this book. I can’t can’t can’t believe anyone would think it’s okay to write a story where pedophilia blossoms into a tender love story. Child abuse and sex with a thirteen year old? What is wrong with you Bryan Greenwood? What a disgusting pervert.

I should have looked more into the reviews. Glorifying pedophilia..?? WTF. This should be removed because it is NOT ok. Once I pieced together where this was going I stopped listening. I am ALL set.
I think everyone who likes mysteries would L💗VE this book! But I don’t recommend it for little children because it would get a little bit scared!!!!!!

I was totally drawn in by the anti-hero. The sex might not be for all readers but it’s necessary to understand the main character. A disturbing look into the abnormal. Well written and well narrated. Gotta go, the second book in the series is calling my name. Happy Listening!

This book glorifies the power imbalance of childhood sexual abuse. The reader is left feeling satisfied with a happy ever after that is so dangerous to promote.
This story is equally disturbing and heartbreaking along with uplifting. Where does right and wrong meet? I would highly recommend this book, you don’t know whether to be incensed or inspired.
