Unconventional story with accurate portrayal of harsh life circumstances make this novel a must. A reality check for those who were raised in safety and comfort, but could be triggering to those who are not ready to face those demons. The author was brave to tackle the content and publish it.

A must read. I read it in my backyard by the sea. I didn’t want the story to end. The author’s note at the end was informative, entertaining and moving. Treat yourself to the best book of summer!
