Well written but the description should contain a trigger warning about pedophilia. The book romanticizes a relationship between an adult and 8 year old child and tries to normalize the relationship.

If you read about the author she says this is based on her life at least parts of it. While I realize people will be upset about a good portion of the story and how a young girl and and older man could be a couple it didn’t start out that way and this kind..
Loved this book! There were definitely some hard parts to listen through , but it was so well written and read. I was sad when it ended. Definitely left an impression on me. Although it’s not for anyone, I really enjoyed it. Would recommend it for those looking for something unique and different.
I never write reviews, but I am compelled to here. The book started well enough with beautiful writing, but soon turned to graphic paedophilia that was coached in a positive light, with other characters vilified until they also “normalized” it. I don’t understand how people are giving this book 5 or 4 or even 3..
There was another review that literary said stop looking at reviews and just listen to it. I agree completely. Though there were parts of the book that could have went really bad really quickly. It is a fantastic book about how we can’t pick our family but we can choose who can become family. Just..
This was a beautiful story even with the uncomfortable reality of it. It forces the reader to look at the situation how it really is no matter how you think you might feel about it before starting. One of the best story’s I’ve ever listened to!
Book started great. Got weird with the “love” story between an 8 year old and 24 year old… the age at which things become s**ual is still under the age of consent. No idea why this book is on here and being promoted by Audible. Wtf.
I enjoyed this book until a man in his late twenties started having sexual relations with a 13 year old girl. Pure filth. I didn’t read any more after that. This book is garbage.
