It’s not ok to try to normalize childhood sexual abuse, grooming, and pedophilia. The plots in this story are preposterous, not to mention disgusting. Also Kellen does not have “a heart of gold”, I can’t even believe that is how he’s described in the summary.

Heartbreaking book that has left me to think about it for some time after finishing. I actually didn’t know about this tragic event that happens at the end even though I have read a lot of historical fiction books and non fiction accounts of WWll. Narration of this book was superb!
