Fitting title for such a complicated love story. Whatever your personal feelings are about the topics in this book it’s undeniably heartfelt and well written.

A well written insight into a hard life. The main character seemed almost fantastically heroic, given the situation she was born into. lots of opportunities for “What if” thinking for the reader in regards to the turns that came in the characters’ lives.
This is one of my favorite books in the Nancy Drew series. The only thing that bothered me was the thing at the beach ( the night the C. I. T’s arrived) but other than that, great book!
