I enjoyed this love story. It was very different from other love stories. A true love over time and very difficult challenges. I will read another book by this author due to it being different from other books.

This books fall just below The Gulag Archipelago by Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn for me, and in fact they may go hand in hand although detailing different eras. I really loved the characters in As Bright as Heaven and found the reaction of people during the Spanish Flu similar to Covid and even more interesting is the book was written prior to Covid.

Was really starting to get drawn into the story line. But the direction the relationship between Kellen and Wavy was making me uncomfortable. My suspicions were confirmed in other reviews. Just thankful this was an included audible. Sex between a child and an adult shouldn’t be romanticized in any capacity. Yuck. Narrator is amazing.

I felt uncomfortable the whole time, yet I couldn’t stop. Very weird experience. I did like it but I don’t like that I liked it.
