Great story ruined by a horrible performance. The story takes place in Australia with Australian chatacters but is narrated by an American sounding performer. The part where the main character says something to the effect of ” what and the fact that I don’t have an American accent didn’t tip you off” is completely laughable.
I loved the way the story was written from the two perspectives which were separate but linked. May reread it again. Parts I expected, but I didn’t mind because there were so many surprises. The narrators were perfect. Thanks for a great audio mystery.
I hate that the author tries to make the reader cheer / understand the themes of grooming and taboo sexual desire. I recommend that this yraah never be read or listened to again.
The issue of grooming and sexual abuse is so disturbing here given the very young age of Wavy. The enduring love was not convincing to me.Excellent performance.
