How do people think the love/romance written in this book is okay? I don’t quite understand the appeal.

I couldn’t stop listening… it was full of all the craziest drama and trauma imaginable.

This story had me captivated from beginning to end. A well-written and thoughtful telling of the ugly consequences of prejudice and greed, and the courage and strength needed to combat them.

I loved this book! Can’t wait to continue to the next book! Like I said this story is addictive!

I love her books. I love the stories of the low country. She always puts me right in the middle of it with her descriptions.

I listened to the whole story and I was very concerned but overall the story was very good.

I’m 76 years old at this time & when I “grow up” I want to be just like them – sharp as tacks & full of joy!

Beautifully written and narrated. Characters that are so well developed you like you are watching a movie. The story is one of pain, love and a too real reality for some. A very good reminder that we always need to withhold our judgement. The old saying about walking a mile in someone’s shoes fits perfectly…
