I didn’t like the conversational style of narration-too much emotional inflection, like somebody is telling you their experience, Distracting from the content. I gave up after a couple of pages. If you are interested in the history of the battle, don’t bother with this book.

I enjoyed the book and gleaned a lot of insight into what reality vs fiction are. The book should be a 5 for the data alone. Unfortunately Bjorn has the same problem Steve Pinker does. Sorry to say but this book is not what I want or thought it was. If you want a book on the religious ideas of shame then this book is for you. But if you want something to explain shame and how we as humans deal with that this is not the book for you.
