Review from Maybe This Time →
I listen to Cara Bastone as soon as a new audible original is released, they are always so good. This one was a bit long and seemed to drag a bit but the unusual storyline kept me listening. As usual the full cast of narrators was a delight.
A different spin on a boy meets girl. A smidge of fiction is my speed. No sex scenes- thank you. It felt like being at the theatre with all the different voices and sound effects. Really fun to listen to.
The story was imaginative, funny, warm, and over all well put together. the author, and actors make this cute book come to life.
I never leave reviews… but this was so utterly enjoyable with rich characters, an interesting plot and great banter. This author never fails. I also don’t usually like sound effects and multiple narrators but here I loved it.
Cara Bastone + Audible = 5 starsI really enjoy full cast audiobooks and Bastone’s story is fun and different. Don’t skip this one!
Cara Bastone is freaking fabulous. These audiobooks give me so much comfort. The storylines have some very similar concepts, like close proximity or quirky character or being there the person you love. For me, they all repeat important lessons which I love hearing in each story. Overall, absolutely hilarious lines and a great story. Plus,..
Such a fun listen – the cast and production kept me engaged when the story was a little hard to follow in the beginning. It was totally worth it to press through the confusing! Super cute.
Noah and Zoë are amazing in this audiobook! I really appreciated the way this was recorded, the conversation between the characters flowed really well and the sound design overall added to the story. The story itself was really unique for the romance genre, and very sweet. I really enjoyed it!
Highly highly recommend. The actors were so good and had amazing chemistry. I laughed out loud too many times to count. And the conversations were real, as in I have said those very things. Add in the northern lights, and maybe I’m the one in the alternate timeline?!
