Excellent book. Wide-ranging, it covers the full breadth of automotive history and even looks into the future. I knew some of the stories, but he added new details and reflected on them in fresh ways. The narrator has an appealing voice, but he frequently changed words for no apparent reason. This should have been picked..

Narration is clear but dry and boring. Content is equally as focused on unmemorable statistics as on matter of fact descriptions on combat. Certainly there are more engaging Vietnam memoirs.

Intelligent writing, unique storytelling and highly satisfying. Couldn’t wait to hear each new chapter. The ending is mind-blowing and brilliant.
Loved the creative ideas! Narrator was great but just importantly the story kept me captivated
Interesting retelling of A-10’s in combat but I am not sure if the writing was unimaginative or if the narrator left something to be desired. I thank the author for his service but will not read another of his books.
This book dragged on and on. Should have been titled “bogged in the sand”. Even the revelry was non-alcoholic.
