Great book. very quick listen, great information. Our government has it all wrong. too much money for too little result.

Have no idea why I bothered to plow through this book other than the vain hope it would somehow get better or …. something. It never did. Respect his personal memoir, but it came off vain and somewhat immature. Where “My Secret War” finished on a reflective high point, I really wish I hadn’t listened..

As someone who follows the geopolitical events in the region it was fascinating to get a peek behind the scenes into the people and forces who tried to maintain the status-quo, and thankfully failed.
This is a brilliant look at how two perspectives have radically different results in the real world.

I’ve been waiting for years for an A-10 pilots memoirs and this has not disappointed. I’m a part time military nerd and learned a lot about A-10 operations and capabilities in this book. 10/10 recommended
book came out 1995. things are worse and even more so if the problems he listed out. the fact this man doesn’t just say “toldjaso” in every interview shows his grace. I recommend Sowell to everyone always. if they want more info, likely Sowell has write about it. read it.

I loved the book. Although I did not like how the author questioned the scores of the pilots at the end.
