This is the first post apocalypse book that I have ever listened to and I could not put it down. Kevin Pierce is my favorite narrator, so I decided to give this series a try. It is engaging with characters who are both complex and still believable. I look forward to the next book,

A lot of these books leave the ending purposely open. I find it leaves the reader without closure. Not this book. One of the best endings I’ve read in a book. Thanks for not leaving the reader hanging

There is a dark underbelly in Henry County Indiana, if you’re from here you know about it.

I totally enjoyed this series. Although the loss of the electric grid is a well used theme, these books are somewhat short. Kevin Pierce has a wonderful melodious voice that I can listen to for days. If you like disaster movies and/or books, you will like these.

This a long and complicated read. I loved all of it including the narrator. You must remember each character as they all play a vital role in the book.

Intrigue, fear, sadness, anger, triumph, and joy are all things you can expect in this apocalyptic journey. A roller coaster of emotions!What a wild ride!
