The story is good, but the constant “tsss” “tsss” sounds the narrator makes while talking is so irritating. It sounds as if he is whistling whilst talking. Unbearable……..
I rarely find a story written that isn’t filled with filthy language, or descriptions of sexual encounters. No story requires either, and I can’t imagine the authors need to include them. Characters were well developed, but not over done. The story goes to what happens, when the have-nots think they deserve what others have. While..
The only negative I would say is the short bit where he thinks he is dead and kind of goes into a purgatory bit. That was a bit strange in the series, but otherwise I loved it! The character development and storyline was great.
I’m a big Tom Abraham’s fan so it’s hard not to love one of his books. but much like the Alt Apocalypse series, this was just ok. I guess for me Marcus Battle is a hard act to follow. Sorry Tom. Hoping book 2 is better.
I really wanted to like this but it was just ok. The infused political opinions whether fictional or not based on character isn’t needed to speak to a kind of person someone is.
This was an excellent book and an excellent narrator! It was super long but I could not stop listening! I definitely highly recommend.
I can listen to Kevin Pierce all day. Even he couldn’t save this story. After I got to the 10 hour mark and still had 5 more hours to go, I gave up. I seriously couldn’t take it anymore. Good story. Could have been told in less time.
Interesting story and characters are believable. A few factual errors but many would never pick up. Sadly too short for an Audible presentation at full credit price. All that said I listened to it twice just to be sure I didn’t miss something. Think I’ll likely just read the rest
