While this series isn’t a great novel, it does provide a realistic scenario of a near future economic collapse and anti-Christian policies in the U.S. It has Christian based views, but that does not mean it isn’t a very plausible and likely future that we should all be considering.

I really like the characters in this series, and enjoy subtleness of certain adult situations, while not being prudish at the same time. the characters seem realistic although one aspect of Dan (more so in the first book , less so in this book) are a bit unrealistic but not to the extent it damages..

This edition, I regret to say may be the final edition, is suberbly written and narrated to close the saga of the Mad Mick and Barb.I can only hope Mr. Horton continues with the future exploits of Barb with cameo appearances of her father.I’ll keep following Horton to see if my wish comes true.
