There’s a lot of brand recognition and name-dropping in this book and series. I guess this is good for sales or increased funds from corporate sponsors. I’d also venture that name-recognition will help a lot of people looking to purchase the survival equipment read/heard about in the books. It’s just so overt.
This was a good listen. My only complaint was all the preaching. I am a Christian and praise God but this was a little over the top. If you can get past the first book it does mellow and the story takes off. Being a box set it makes it worth the credit.
I liked that this book was different than the others Jack’s written and not in the biography category but the health & wellness category. I guess that allowed him to spend more time on the town and the medicine. Whatever the reason, it moved along at a rapid pace and was very much a true..

The only issue I have, is the negative reviews I read prior to reading the book. I absolutely love that Mark doesn’t use profanity and incorporates God into his writing and unless you’re completely brain washed his political observations don’t seem far from truth to me. I love the granular detail in which the book was laid out. It kept me engaged the entire time as I took note and had me thinking from the first chapter how I could implement and what impact it would have…I’ll definitely be listening a second time!!

I’m a Service Dog (SD) trainer and wanna be prepper. I loved it, especially when Opus “spoke”. So nice to see a dog portrayed as the intelligent creatures they can be. The rest of the cast is well written too, but Opus won my heart. My own “Opus” enjoys listening to this series with me…

A truly pathetic ,possibly preventable horror story. Read or listen to form your own opinion. I was always taught to think in terms like nature of nurture. Mother nature can be cruel from the moment of conception in cases like this. This is tough to listen to, but instructive if followed to the conclusion. Terrific..

Good story, great narration, the storyline and chapter sequencing is excellent. For this genre it’s above average. And it’s refreshing to not have political rhetoric.
