It definitely wasn’t an EOTWAWKI book. It was a vigilante book set in a vague disaster. Really boring. MC was not interesting enough to carry the book and the side character had zero relevance. YAWN

First off I very much enjoy anything Narrated by Kevin Pearce I find his reading to be very interesting along with his tone changes. This series of books kept my interest throughout. I found the most interesting part to be when the parallel of the two lives came into focus. I also like the flashbacks..
I really enjoyed this story and I recommend to anyone who likes post apocalyptic books
I have always been a fan but as horton’s writing matures I have really began to appreciate the suspense and way he ties his work together. it will make sense to new readers but adds a real treat for the ones that have been around from the start!

Are you supposed to love murder and mayhem? Maybe not but I sure did!If you’re looking for mostly short stories, RUN to your phone or tablet and sign up for hours of crime stories. I think I would list to anything the narrator is associated. It truly is an absorbing read.

It’s bird! It’s a plane! It’s SuperBarb! Just what we need, another Buffy, Nikita, Black Widow, Atomic Blonde, Furiosa, River Tam, Supergirl, Red Sparrow. Very original. Not done to death at all. Sad, because there is never a real sense of jeopardy for the main characters. I was bored.

I was skeptical during the first couple of chapters. But then I found my self wanting more. The narrator is so good, I have listened to a couple of others he has done and he never disappoints. Highly recommend.
