Kevin Pierce is an amazing reader. I bet that guy is booked out for months in advance.
good story
Review from The Parting of Ways →
Yes it a story of a group of people who are in all the books some die and then are alive in the next book sounds good but as you listen to the audibles you start to see a pattern first nuclear, then flooding and now a virus all the same people but different lives..
I have read all the books in the borrowed World Series and loved them all. I have also read the Mad Mick series and enjoyed them as well. I noticed a reference to the Mad Mick in the last BW book I hope that means a crossover book is coming. I think Jim and Connor..
The writing can be very redundant. Will describe an object or event then have a character say/think it sometimes both sometimes followed by another character saying it back to them without much change in POV. 3rd grade filler 5 sentences on a topic type stuff. Takes away uniqueness in characters making them feel pretty lifeless..
The book is all right wing propaganda. He talks about stealing elections and none stop praise of trump. If you’re into Alex Jones (mentioned a couple of times in this book) conspiracies, this is the book for you. But it’s real stupid. Bad writing, a middle schooler could have put together a better story. Performance..
I’m not sure why I read reviews. The reviews almost made me to look further for another read… I really enjoyed the “read”. The storyline was engaging and the characters were believable. Kevin Pierce absolutely seals the deal!
Review from Surrender the Sun Series Boxset: Books 1-3 Apocalyptic Dystopian Thriller →
This has almost no reference to nor context surrounding anything having to do with a grand solar minimum. Nothing. Kevin Pierce is excellent but the series is completely devoid of any relevance to the realities of surviving in cold weather … though the author avoids describing such storyline details as temperatures, wind conditions and snow..
I’m gonna continue to story but so far just antifa and liberals being the bad guy isn’t that good of a story. I think it would’ve been better if there was another bad guy, for lack of better terms. And I’m starting to hate that in every apocalyptic book the main characters are the most..
