I couldn’t put this audio down. So sad and riveting at the same time. Jack Olsen makes you feel like part of a family as he thoroughly describes each person through changes in his or her life. I felt like I knew and loved the family and hated for the book to end.
Eye opening events that could happen naturally or man made. You watch some of these shows about preppers and think there crazy people, are they ? I have taken steps to be more prepared. This was a very well written Trilogy makes you think of what could happen. Thanks Mr McDermott for a well written..

The detailed account of the romance and of the characters that took up the lion’s share of the book succeeded in making me despise Cindy but her behavior was so extreme given today’s knowledge of mental illness it was hard to accept she never got any treatment.
The story flows well and has just enough humor to balance out the darkness. I will be waiting for the next installment of this series.
