really getting into the series. great writing with a lot of thought put into it. narration is great.
I chose this on a whim because I like true crime. WHAT A COLOSSAL MISTAKE. The author writes about the prosecutor as a great hero, but the author IS the prosecutor. So it’s just on and on about the guy, how great he is, what he likes and dislikes. Tedious and unnecessary details about the..
I really enjoyed this story. It kept me entertained for hours driving in my truck. The author and narrator make a great combination. Looking forward to more in the series!

Writer was definitely well versed in boats and all things maritime. The storyline kept my attention but the narrator didn’t change his voice much between some characters, so it was sometimes hard to follow.
Another great book from Mark Goodwin and narrator Kevin Pierce. Mark can’t write them fast enough! I certainly hope there will be a third (or more) book in this series.
Kept me interested even though it was predictable. I was drawn into the story and connected with the characters.
Excellent account of the Steven Avery story. What is most insightful is the background of the Manitowoc County Sheriff’s Office and its dirty dealings going back 4 decades.
Mark Goodwin is definitely my favorite writer and with Kevin Pearce narrating it’s absolutely perfect. I love how his books are realistic and I can listen to him for hours. God bless you and your family
All the fight and intrigue is gone out of Kevin’s voice in this one. The mournful, somber pace never let’s you forget it’s about the loss of loved ones.
