Seems like there could be so much more with this series. Sad there is no more books to continue the story.
As always Horton’s writing are engaging and hard to put down or press the pause button when it comes to audible. A modern story with a very plausible scenario told with the skill of the great story tellers of the past. Horton’s apocalyptic world is terrifying in its entirety and definitely a scenario that people..
My favorite authors… Jack Olsen, Greg Olsen, Steve Jackson and anything read by Kevin Peirce. There are two books that will stick with me from here to eternity.. 1st is “Salt of the Earth”.. The latest is “Monster”.. I cried for Cher, I cried for the rest of the ladies and their families. I even..
Agsin Franklin has keep the Mick taking care of business and taking out the trash ! I am really enjoying this new section of his story and where it’s going . I see a Mad future shesd for Battling Barb and I. Like it ! Great story Great Narration by the Mad KP ! Thankyall..
I enjoyed this book and as always Kevin Pierce is a great narrator. However, I’d really like to listen to the rest of the story and this is barely long enough to be considered a book. Like so many others these days, what should be one… MAYBE two books in a series is split into..
Like many other books written by a prepper, not a talented writer, this story has the same dogma preached by the heros as if the whole thing is an infomercial and not an engaging work. It’s like these guys are building stories from the same meager set of Duplo blocks. Same blocky elements, just arranged..
Well, the apocalypse happened and everything goes insane. After a cliffhanger ending to the first book, I was glad to have the second immediately follow. Essentially: a family man turns from teacher to leader and hero to save his family (and maybe his corner of the world). There is more adventure than usual with this..
I read a lot of true crime stories and this was the best one so far. It was well-written and sucked me in immediately. Steve Jackson represented all sides of this story with compassion and great story telling. Wow. Just wow.
I’m picky about my Apocalyptica; I want a credible plot, characters worth investing in, and and believable dialog. This series delivers all three. I’m going to listen again so I can get all of the characters straight. I felt the narration was average, not a lot of vocal differences between characters, not much on accents,..
the best in the series……and timeline. I enjoy the others in the timeline but hands down this is the best story line in my opinion. maybe mix in more cross overs?
