I would listen to Mr Pierce read a recipe book. Definitely recommend this book. Mark Goodwin is a great writer.

I listened to two books today. Didn’t realize one was 1 hr 55 min. Waste of time. I’ll do better selecting next time.
Never heard of this story before, so it was nice to learn about it. Having said that, the book was over the top in regards to the people referenced therein! The detectives who were assigned to both cases are described as maybe the smartest people EVER! They just KNEW the whole truth from the moment..

I am buying his next book the instant that I finish this review. The story AND the narrator are both crazy good. I have been reading true crime for 50 years, and it doesn’t get any better!
The main character is interesting. The pacing is poor. There are several very obvious word choice errors, malapropisms. It’s distracting when they pop up. Finally, simply as a matter of taste, the long discussions of black helicopter conspiracy theories and Christian beliefs is too heavy handed. I’m not learning dogma I’m seeking entertainment. All that..

These short but succinct stories can certainly interest some to investigate the crimes further. I like that these aren’t full length books. Kevin Pierce is a Master Storyteller!
