There was nonstop action. But there was a story being told the whole time that good people matter, especially in hard times. And the Mad Mick and Barb will do whatever it takes to save the day.

Franklin Horton is such a descriptive writer who brings the characters to life; or makes the reader feel they have the skills he describes. I love Connor aka Mad Mick. He is such a kick-butt character. And as always Kevin Pierce did an amazing job narrating this book!

Connor and company can’t seem to catch a break. They get rid of the kidnappers and then have successfully deal with their leader who wants to enlarge his workforce and now here comes The Bond. Not to give too much away, but these guys are beyond bad! Leave it to The Mad Mick and friends..

Started Book 1, and haven’t been able to stop listening to see what came next. Great character development, realistic dynamics and relationships between the ‘uncles’ and siblings. I’ve enjoyed thre narration, but have to point out that Arkansas City, Kansas, is NOT pronounced like the state of Arkansas (ahr’-kan-saw), but rather like (Our)Kan’-sas. Looking forward..

Although it took me quite some time to get through the series, it was a great journey! I was disappointed to get to the end since I thoroughly enjoyed it!! Now I just hope that I can find another as great!
