I’m a prolific fan of apocalyptic books in audio format. This was one of the most realistic yet. I found it very interesting but this was the author’s first attempt into the genre. explanation at the end of the book provided a great explanation as to the reason it was so realistic. I give it a solid Eh. It was OK but I wont be getting the next one. Maybe if he writes something else I might try it.

The story goes like this: Self-published author meets dog named Opus. Opus chuffed. Amazon, Amazon Prime, Amazon Affiliate program, more Amazon, Opus chuffed. Sprinkle in a weak story and one dimensional characters and a lot more “Opus chuffed” and you have the whole thing.

This is a continuation of a great series. A story of struggle and endurance. While some may believe in the belief that you protect family first no matter then love displayed among the survivors. And, as ever, Kevin Pierce is the best narrator ever, especially at this type of story.

Held my interest, sad but true story, however, read robotically. If you are interested in this case this is a must ‘read.’

The characters are so unlikable. I also found the whole compound/farm that has everything they need for years pretty out there and unrealistic.
