Great book!
Review from No Stone Unturned →
The story isn’t bad, the info and insights provided are just OK. But despite a short running time of under four hours total, this information could have been provided in probably half that time with nothing lost for book or the listener.
Entertaining, but short for the price. I do like how he takes one story and intersperses the lesson into it.
I hate to give this bad of a review, but this one deserves it. Performance is fine, but book lacks any real depth or thought. The teaching example in the book is disconnected from the title, despite the author’s efforts to convince us otherwise. I will not be buying anymore books from this author.
Review from Dysphoria: A Novel of America’s Coming Financial Nightmare (Black Swan) →
Mr Goodwin’s books always gives you food for thought. They are excellent in how they entwine Scripture within the suspense of mystery. Very Good. Thank-you.
A girl away at college. A dad who is a crazy prepared survivalist. A devastating attack on the United States that leaves the whole country without power, without resources. Now this young girl and her best friend are on a cross country journey to reach home. But how does a young girl living at college..
I would call it the definition of mediocrity…delivered by a deceptively captivating narrator. Very redundant and repetitive..and redundant
I can’t even begin to imagine how many thousands of hours of research & interviews that must’ve gone into writing something like this. I’m a true crime junkie, but I really didn’t think I’d enjoy reading/listening to a book about rape, or a rapist…but I thoroughly enjoyed this book. That’s not to say I “enjoyed”..
This was a great audible choice. Most especially if you like crime. The story itself has some pretty horrific things that are revealed so that was difficult to listen to however I was listening to it straight through except for sleeping. The story really held my attention and the book was well worth the money..
