Listening to this book opened my eyes to the Maunder Minimum, something I had never heard of. Excellent storytelling and plot with characters you can relate to and some you want to punch. Highly recommend this series!

The characters dont act the way real people do amd they don’t hold consistent with there prior actions. Like to many of these kind of books its all about dragging the main character as low as low and watching them suffer. It’s just sadists porn. Nothing more.

Great series. My only complaint, I wish it was longer. I was totally engrossed in this from the beginning. The scenario, circumstances, details and characters are very believable, this adds greatly to the book. Fast paced, lots of action with plenty of human emotions.

Very well thought out.While some situational things get ghastly, there is not a thing that is a stretch of imagination.Unless you personally have a normalcy bias.
