This is a well told story. The story has good character development with believable lives. There are no Rambo know everything people. This story is Christian based and well worth the purchase.
A good refresher on why strategy matters and what is and isn’t strategy. I particularly appreciated the Boss Strategy portion.
I bought this book immediately after finishing another Jack Olsen book called Doc. I absolutely loved Doc.I’m a true crime junkie, (Murderino), through-and-through & I couldn’t put it down. I finished it in 2.5 days. I love Olsen’s style of storytelling, & the narration was a perfect fit. However, I’m disappointed after finishing this one,..
This was a good intro into his line of thinking. His other books are better though and can stand alone without this one. I would get A Spy’s Guide to Strategy instead.
This audio selection is well worth the credit to purchase. Goodwin delivers on the action and on character development. The Lead character is not a super soldier but rather a Christian patriot confronted with a tyrannical government. The supporting characters are also well written bring depth to the story as a whole.

Listening to this book opened my eyes to the Maunder Minimum, something I had never heard of. Excellent storytelling and plot with characters you can relate to and some you want to punch. Highly recommend this series!

The characters dont act the way real people do amd they don’t hold consistent with there prior actions. Like to many of these kind of books its all about dragging the main character as low as low and watching them suffer. It’s just sadists porn. Nothing more.
