Really like his style. Second series I’m listening to. Moving on to second book in this series
Good writing styke
Review from Days of Panic →
I downloaded this thinking there would be a “dozen” stories each focused on for a few hours. Instead it is a series of 20 minute cases that never dive too deep into any story. Its a barrage of murder with no relief.

I remember finishing the first book and hoping there would be more. Well, there is a lot more! There are a few characters I really wanted to crawl in the book and strangle, ugh. The language gets a bit rough in spots but it’s not too often. Natalia and Quinn are the heroes and yet..
Loved the book. Different than others in this genre. Fantastic. Looking forward to the rest of the series.
Overall I like the concept of this book and series. However, the character development in this first book is incredibly lacking. All groups of people that you encounter along the journey are just living and breathing stereotypes. It’s ridiculously predictable. And frankly the wife/mom makes no sense at all. Sometimes she is a helpless female..
The author uses an ocean of acronyms to regurgitate and repackage other common business lessons as his own. The use of acronyms is nauseating. (Sometimes I wonder what people who use acronyms do with all that extra time.) Skip this one.
I started listening to this last night, and had it not been for some appointments I had in the morning, I probably would have ended up listening to it straight through. I’ve been a huge fan of C.A. Rudolph’s since the release of the very first book in his What’s Left of My World series…
This is a Christian novel and not tagged as such. if you’re not into the bible this will probably bother you. There’s a reason “Christian Rock” is not sold with “Rock” in record stores. Pop this book in the Christian section Audible. Got tired of the prayer after 45 minutes.
