I thought the author went overboard in his/her obvious attempt to make the lead character Maddy more than what she could’ve been or should’ve been, this made the story seem very unbelievable and at times unbearable. This Story could have been better told and my attention better kept in 3 chapters.

Listen to all books from 1 – 9, so far. The narrator, Kevin Pierce is outstanding. Franklin Horton’s writing is both simple and complex at the same time. Good tips on SHTF preparation, but not the focus of the evolving story’s. I highly recommend his work.

As usual the narrator Kevin Pierce is top 3 narrator. He van make a 4 star story into a 4.3 or 4.4. He is that good. The author Tom Abrahams really outdid himself. The story was action packed no real slow spots. I enjoyed the character development. Marcus was interesting his depth made the story..

Could not keep his time line right. At one point the woman was kidnapped for weeks next thing you know it was a couple of month.

I have listened to several of these books. This one has a good storyline, still has gruesome details. There is Christian tones which is good for those of us who believe
