I was excited for this story after book one but I found the relationships between the characters to be rather awkward. Although I think the author is a very good technical writer I found it difficult to relate to the social interactions between the characters. The social situations felt rushed and unrealistic.
An absolutely compelling story that is tremendously fascinating. It’s almost hard to believe that all this ACTUALLY happened. The evidence that Steve Hodel provides definitely has me convinced that George Hodel was the Black Dahlia avenger. If you are fascinating by Elisabeth Short’s murder then this book is a MUST read. Only bad thing is..
I’m so sad it’s over! I loved this book and the entire series as a whole. Gave me a lot to think about and had me enthralled the entire time. Truly wonderful!
This story just keeps getting better the more I read. I can’t get enough of everything going on and how Caden deals with every new thing thrown his way. He’s everything to me right now!
Great start to the series. Loved the story and especially Caden. He has a big heart but his feet planted on the ground and thinks rationally about important issues and the chaos happening around him. The only downside of this audio book was that while the narration was really good, the voice of the narrator..
Review from Pathological: The Murderous Rage of Dr. Anthony Garcia →
This story was so tragic and involved. the author did a wonderful job of connecting you with the characters but the female narrator has a robotic voice that became distracting. Luckily, she only narrates small sections.
I’ve got every Franklin Horton book he’s written that I know of.. except maybe his sappy love stories written under a pen name. j/k. Great story. Spoiler maybe alert- Still wondering if Raegis and Barb are going to get together some day, they’d be a great couple and who else would get the MMs blessing.
