only gave 2 stars, because I was finally able to finish… Author appears to have an incredible grasp of equine equipment, but nothing beyond the Absolute Basics of firearms… constantly and unexplained complete change in character use of weapons, one min character dismounts horse with shotgun, then only mins later engages enemy with assault rifle..

This book was pretty good. Great depth of characters and fairly good, although slightly predictable, storyline.
