The situations presented in this book are extremely credible and very sobering. This book grabs you by the shoulders and rattles you dizzy! Great story, can’t wait to get to book 2.
When will book 6 be available for Audible???!#bengelistening#prepping/ amazing series, everyone should check it out!
I love this entire book series and have already downloaded the 4th book, rising from the darkness with intent to finish it asap. I can’t stop listening to these!!
James and his family are vacationing when a strange event happens. After a meteor shower there is some kind of EMP and tsunami. Society seems to collapse overnight and James and his family struggle to get home. I really enjoyed the story as most apocalyptic stories have these long drawn out conflicts between various groups..
This book started very slow for me and I almost returned it. I’m glad I didn’t! I didn’t initially like all of the religious references, but later started to see things differently and actually made me address those things missing in my current state. Anyway, a very good book and storyline!
This book broadens the scope of the surviving “clan” making alliances and pacts with other groups/towns as a confederation in order to fight a large army from the west.
This story kept me on the edge of my seat! I enjoyed the reader’s voice and inflections. I had just finished Volume 1 and couldn’t wait to get into Volume 2. This story exposes me to so many aspects of self-defense and emergency preparedness.
Ok, I am book three into Marcus Battles’ travels through post-apocalytic USA and my interest is not subsiding. It would seem that The Cartel are not the only game in town when it comes to controlling the wasteland, and whilst Battle knows which side he supports, he is wise enough to know you can’t trust..
Why would you kill off a character that you don’t most of the book telling their story. For someone as knowledgeable as Jim is, he does some pretty dumb things and winds up paying dearly for it. Even though this book was highly predictable, the storyline is still pretty good.
