Other than the lame political commentary and the subtle and not-so-subtle racism in spots, the story was OK as apocalypse stories go. One thing all these EMP stories seem to get warm is the most vehicles and electronic devices will not be fried by the pulse unless they’re connected to the grid.

As we get to know these families, the reader will care more and more about each of them as they struggle, on many levels, in the new world reality. This story has great characters and Kevin Pierce gives a fine performance. Great to share.
I like the fact that this is a realistic story. I could have done without the cursing ,but that was not as bad as some.
