Huge fan of Abrahams and Pierce combo. They only things I didn’t like are the dumb decisions. Typical “Don’t go in there” kind of thing. The other thing is Jack’s wife, Betty. This book was a true story that dragged on for a pointless 12 hours. So many Jack Olson books have been interesting stories of actual crimes but this just went on and on with no advancement of the story. (Not a spoiler) when they finally get a confession from the killer, the book goes right..
Gravely voiced narrator

Oh how it’s so hard to listen to this story. It seemed like it could be great but the narrator is just a no for me. The main character isn’t a 70 yo man and he shouldn’t sound like it. The women all sound like simple minded ditzy women with the inflection given to them…
made me think
