Great Read, Less Believable

I enjoyed book six thoroughly, but some events in Switched On caused me to lose some suspension of disbelief over previous entries.
While I really enjoyed the book, I don’t understand why the author stopped and started chapters in the middle of a scene. It seemed arbitrary, and a way to stretch the book a bit. It seemed to slow the flow.
Good character development. Not too unrealistic as in prepper is some how exempt from getting shot, going hungry or worse. Overall great books.
I always love how Mr Goodwin always sets these things in a part of the country that makes it believable. He does research to get the names correct.
I’ve finally found a book I didn’t like, and it was a doozy. Without spoiling the story for those who want to read it, it’s basically a spin on the movie True Grit. The characters are bland, the setting is good, but no backstory is given to anyone other than generic stereotypes, and the narrator..

The series is awesome. Can’t wait for book 9, hopefully it won’t be long before the book comes out. Plus Kevin Pierce is one of my favorite readers. Waiting patiently.
Characters for the most part are interesting and the authors developed them very well. Very realistic for the most part with few exceptions and easy to project yourself into the story.
A very interesting, painful, shocking read. Well performed. I couldn’t stop listening until the end.
