found it interesting. until I wondered when the big event was going to happen. It never really did. There were situations that fluttered in here and there it just dropped out with a fizzle. Fast forwarded all the way to the last chapter from chapter 13. just got boring and too many non important details

enjoying from start to finish. the apocalyptic storyline is always entertaining but this twist is original.
could have been a good book but way to much about god and Ryder knows nothing about vehicles the book is written as if you don’t believe in God you’re a horrible person Which is far from the truth

Harding is a bit of a Jack Reacher type with a sometimes humerous view or comment. An easy listen which kept me interested without having to concentrate too hard. Good effort from Bernard Lee DeLeo and narrator Kevin Pierce. Happy to look at bok 2.
I enjoyed seeing a post-apocalyptic story where it wasn’t over the top with gore and language and the violence. The main character, Battle, is caught between being sacrificial or selfish and recognizes that there’s costs both ways. My complaint would be that the book was too short and ended abruptly. This read has a strong start and a strong end. There were lulls in the middle for setting the scene I could have done with less of but overall this was a fascinating, dark and disturbing story that I would recommend to any Murderino.
