This was just so unbelievably bad. I knew better but love the genre. The narration was more than I could stomach. The story line was completely unbelievable. I just don’t understand these positive reviews. Boggles the mind. When you are used to RC Bray and Ray Porter as narrators nothing else compares.
The multiple story lines tie together really well. Fantastic action sequences and human emotions throughout. Great listen.

I took a few weeks to listen to this 7 book series, slipping three other novels in between. By the 7th book, I was weary of the tale; upped the speed and just wanted it finished. 43 hours is a commitment. The endless battles and violence and human depravity of Defiance made for an unpleasant..
I originally bought the trilogy because it was on sale for a credit. After getting involved with the storyline and the characters, I found myself not being able to spend any free time not listening. I’m looking forward to diving into the authors other series. A very well done piece of work.

The books kept you in suspense and then would bring you back to a realization only to throw you into another suspense. This book was very exciting and it was one that I had trouble putting down just to go to bed at night.
