I wasn’t sure what to expect but it turned out to be a good book . I could really relate to some of the characters. Other characters are really annoying. The plot was fast-moving and action-packed and I enjoyed listening to it .
what can you say. Another good solid book. none of the twists or turns seem to be too unrealistic however the Good Fortune of those we like are often exaggerated. but that’s normal for this genre. in the end the good guy often wins.
Entertaining while informing. Much useful prepper information re sources. Very entertaining and realistic first half about how controlling, petty, and busy body people can be about things that are none of their business. Life is more like that – petty complainers that try to make trouble for others – than it is about criminal murdering..
this one surprised me. finally a good post apocalypse novel based out of California. Some of the characters are a bit winey but it was a solid story.
The story overall was decent. The narrator was excellent. The ending was abrubt with no resolution to the story or any clear lead to the next storyline. The book was very short and felt like a chapter, not an entire book. The constant political propoganda was difficult to get around. I will probably not read..
I was a little familiar with case-meaning I probably read it in People magazine or some such rag. I’m so disappointed that there was no closure for the family. My heart goes out to them. Those two innocent boys…it’s just devastating and so unnecessary. Stephen Powell passed on some demented genes to his spawn.
Any additional comments? I love the survivor-thriller genre, but I have to admit it’s not always the best writing. Not the case with this series. Well-written, action-packed, and suspenseful. Author obviously knows his weapons and has done research about possible scenarios. Exciting “read.”
