Review from The Collapse →
I have no idea what the author wanted to accomplish with this story–except perhaps to sell later books. No satisfying plot and no deep character development. Moreover, the narrator’s monotonous drone was uninteresting and made the Audible version very difficult to follow. A waste of money even at the sale price.
Any additional comments? A good book. kept me involved right to the end. Nicely written – as for the narration, well .. . Kevin Pierce could keep me intrigued reading the dollar meal menu at McDonalds!!
For any business – not matter what you are selling, traction – is key! As the leading professional photography company, at Splento we figured out long time that just having an amazing service that is 5x cheaper and 10x better doesn’t mean anything. Clients won’t beat a path to your door. You have to go..
I was captivated with the story and how it was written from minute one. Really liked the details about preparedness, etc. Very real. Can’t wait to start book two! A must read!
The V-Pox pandemic is swiftly killing off all but a small percentage of survivors immune to its disfiguring and lethal effects. The survivors must dispose of their dead and seek protection from the threat of gangs forming in the cities. Other threats quickly become apparent: dwindling food supplies, power and water outages, unstaffed hospitals, inoperable..
If you could sum up One Man’s Opus in three words, what would they be? Love The Dog Who was your favorite character and why? Opus Have you listened to any of Kevin Pierce’s other performances before? How does this one compare? I really like to listen to Kevin’s performances. I have more than 20..
These stories have no evidence behind them. Could be entirely made up. I kept waiting for the section where he explains how to do the techniques he mentioned throughout the book. Never happened. Narrator was not very good. Awful.
Is there anything you would change about this book? Simplify and focus the plot. There is way to much going on and it doesn’t make the story line or characters consistent. What does Kevin Pierce bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book? Kevin always brings a consistent performance..
