Author plays game of “let’s pretend dee casteel is the victim.” Folk psychology bordering on gibberish is employed–unsuccessfully–to make a cold-blooded killer sympathetic. Meanwhile, narrator whistles through bad dental work. Don’t waste your time.

these five books were a real pleasure to listen to and we’re well narrated. if you’re into prepping or if you like survivalist stories then this is a definite must listen to audiobook.
I’m sure this is a good book. I identify with the author’s personal history, however, having listened to so many books narrated by Kevin Pierce, they all sound( no pun intended) the same. I have to stop and think about which book it is that am I listening so as not to get them confused.
