The narration was terrible. There were brief moments where I cared about the characters and their fates. I hate to waste a credit so I finished it but this was a slog. 39 hours over three books for a story that should’ve been told in 12 hours.

I love Franklin’s writing, and take refuge in his stories pretty regularly. That being said, the series could have done without this antagonist! Not my favorite, but it’s still an enjoyable story and I don’t regret the experience.
